Hayes has been running around in his unders and cape the past few days.I posted in February about potty training Hayes and now I laugh that I wrote at the end of the post "only one in diapers again!" because that didn't quite work out.
This last weekend I decided that Monday was the day. Hayes WILL be potty trained. I told Bracken that I was determined and I was going to be MORE stubborn than Hayes about it. Then of course he laughed as we were going to bed I asked "Will you remind me when I wake up that I'm potty training Hayes?" I'm a little slow to start up in the morning and I figured we'd have to have Hayes try to go first thing so he'd start off successful.After hearing everyone else's stories I decided that he'd get a cold shower if he had an accident and chocolate chips every time he was successful.
Monday Hayes had two accidents, two cold showers and lots of chocolate chips. He concluded "I don't want any more ax-a-dents or I get a cold, cold, very cold, shower!!" I felt so mean while I was giving him those showers but it was so worth it!
Tuesday He had no accidents, no cold showers and lots chocolate chips. We went to the park with some friends and Hayes was so excited to tell his friend who is potty trained that now he goes "poop in the potty!"
Today he has had one accident but it was at the park and I was on my cell phone so I figured he didn't deserve a cold shower for it. Poor kid, now he always tells me he's not going to have an accident or he'll have a "cold, cold, very cold, shower!!"
Hopefully I'm not premature again in my post but I think we're on our way to getting him in underwear!! Now that we're expecting our third, I'm not going to give up as easily....three in diapers sounds like torture to me!

I wish Belle would give in and just get potty trained. She can do it, it's just her will to not do it. I told her that Santa won't come until she poops in the potty a lot.

That picture is a classic! Good job Hayes!!! I need to get going with Nixon and I'm NOT looking forward to it. He can be stubborn too, but probably not as much as Hayes (knowing his Dad).
I wish you luck. Erica went backwards. We have had lots of dirty underware. I have been also trying the cold bath. I feel bad sometimes, but I hope that helps both of us.
I'm dreading the attempt to potty train now! 3 in diapers is definitely a nightmare I hope Hayes gets it for your sake! Congratualtions on the baby in your tummy!

Wow, that was easy!!! Congratulations to you and Hayes! We did the cold shower thing- I hated every single minute of it, but it was oh. so. effective!!
