January Journaling -Redrock Hike

Martin Luther King, Jr day it was free to get into Redrock. Bracken had to study for the first day of class (which was the next day) so I took the kids out to the Children's Discovery Trail. It was a one mile hike that connects into another hike. At the top there is a seasonal waterfall. When we started the first part of the hike was a gravel trail, I was thinking are you kidding me? We might as well be walking on a sidewalk. It got better though and I thought it was the perfect hike for the kids. Some rocks to climb but nothing too challenging that they couldn't do it themselves. I didn't have to carry them once which was good because I was thinking we needed to come again and take some friends along. Then i thought about when we could go and realized I probably shouldn't be taking this hike in the first place haha. Luckily I had a Dr. appt the next day and everything looked good with the pregnancy and baby.

Should have looked at the picture after the lady took it....Hayes looks like he's doing the potty dance!

Waterfall at the top

Kamri checking out the waterfall

Hayes loved being behind the waterfall, he wanted to cross under it but I wasn't too crazy about getting wet, it is still January! Maybe another time :)
