January Journaling -Redrock Hike

chuckle
Kamri left her little princess doll outside overnight and the sprinklers got it all wet. She came to me at breakfast and told me her princess' dress was dirty so we needed to wash it. I'm not a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed kind of person in the morning so I'm sure my response was something like 'uhuh.' if she was lucky a 'that's nice'.
Later in the day I opened the washer to do some laundry and noticed she had taken matters into her own hands. Wish the amount of laundry to do was always that small.
I love the random things I happen upon as a mom that make me smile.

24 weeks
Next Sunday (Feb. 6) I'll be exactly 26 weeks. Exactly how far along I was when I delivered Dane.
Only 1 week and 2 days to go.
I think of it like hiking...Bracken tells his scouts to pick a point they see far away and hike to it. Then pick another point that you think you can only make it to there and hike to that. Do that enough and you'll get to your goal.
So the goal right now is to get past Feb. 6. Then I can breathe a little easier.
Then past 28 weeks. A milestone in fetal development. I don't know the exact statistics but the chance of survival jumps WAY up and the risk of cerebral palsy and other complications drops down after the 28 week point.
Then hopefully 30 weeks.
Then 36.
Ultimately 39..but I'd take a little earlier as long as she has been in there long enough to come home with us.
I told myself I would be better at taking belly shots since I don't have any from my pregnancy with Dane. But I haven't been good but here is a start.
This was last Sunday. This is why I don't really love belly shots...I just think to myself. "And I walked around looking like that all day?!" Sad thing is this is better than the usual day of ponytail and totally hot maternity mom jeans. Oh well. I'm loving feeling the movement of our baby girl in that belly of mine.
Oh and we're up for name suggestions. So far Kamri always suggests Tree and Hayes suggests D.W.
"Mom, it's neat, it's the letter D and then the letter W"
I tell them we'll add them to the list.
Just hopefully we can come up with more so they end up towards the bottom.
Catch up

I tried...
Next year I'll get someone they'll take seriously to take their pictures for Christmas cards...Snow

We woke up to snow. Only a dusting and didn't stay long but it WAS snow.
Kamri looked out the window and exclaimed "There is snow in Las Vegas?!??" Apparently she already knows it's rare.
I found this cute drawing of Hayes' on the floor after he was done drawing this morning. I'm digging the top hat.

First Picture of 2011
Kamri loves "dollie" that her Aunt Skye made her for Christmas. Nothing cuter than a girl sleeping with her doll. Thanks, Skye O!
Christmas was great (I WILL get to posting about that) and then we had a huge let down from all the Christmas fun to being sick the entire week. Fever, Cough, Cold, Bronchitis, Ear Infections...you name it we have it! (and if you think of another sickness please don't name it, we don't want anymore. thanks.)
All of us started doing much better today, except for Hayes and now he is on antibiotics for his ear infection so hopefully we will all be good to go next week!
