My mom and dad came and visited us on Tuesday. We were headed to check out the Springs Preserve but it started raining so we took a trip to the Natural History Museum instead. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, the kids loved it! We were there for about three hours and I think if we weren't hungry we could have easily stayed there for another hour or so. We asked Hayes what his favorite part was and he said the Bear, Sting Ray, and the Shark. Kamri kept on pointing at the big Giraffe and loved looking at the fish. They had an animal family room with all these different bears, tigers, deer, etc and she just kept on pointing to all different parts of the room. She didn't know where to start. They had a stuffed black bear you could pet but she didn't dare.
My dad helped put Kamri's toddler bed together, my mom helped clean up. We went to the natural history museum, then they took Hayes to his soccer practice with Bracken while I did cub scouts. After practice they took us all out to eat to Famous Daves and then they both helped prime my bathroom. (and I've been working on getting the color up now. I'll post pictures soon.)
I'm so glad they could come down and spend some time with us. It went by quickly but we had some fun and they helped me get some projects done.
Thanks Mimi & Grandpa Dane for coming to visit us!
Here's a little video of Kamri at the Natural History Museum. The lizards were in cages but she wanted nothing to do with them.

True girl! Her hair is adorable.
She is such a cutie. Why did we go to Sea World? Next time we'll just go to the Natural History museum! Glad to know it's fun.
hopefully this is a stage that Kamri will grow out of. She will realize soon enough that snakes and lizards are the best kind of animals!
I LOVED (and still do) the Science museums when I was little. They have a really cool one here that I am excited to check out soon.
That looks like such a blast! The picture collage is awesome! And I can't believe Hayes is big enough to play soccer!
