Deep Poetry from a Four Year old

We were all a bunch of sick folk today.  I wasn't sick but I was tired from getting up with Lyla who didn't sleep well.  Kamri & Lyla have hand foot & mouth disease , Kamri had a fever on Friday night and a few spots on Saturday.  I stayed home from church with her and Lyla. Lyla started getting spots yesterday and has them all over today. I know I just posted we went to the show and I was feeling a tad guilty that we went with sick kids but we were in a booth by ourselves. Of course now I realize Kamri did touch the arcade motorcycle so I guess I am a bad mom, judge away. We had mostly stayed at home the week before trying to avoid getting it because it has been going around our ward and friends so we really needed something to do to get out and this seemed to be a good thing since we wouldn't be around other little kids and that is who usually gets it.
I was hoping Hayes was old enough to avoid getting it but he threw up this morning (no fever or spots though) so he didn't go to school.  I was so disappointed because it was his kindergarten program today.  He didn't mind missing as long as he could go on his last day of school but I was sad about missing it!
Hayes didn't throw up again thankfully.  He played Legos almost the entire day.  He'd build sitting up and then lay down for a little bit on the carpet next to his legos, then sit up for a bit. Kamri wanted to Skype her Grandma's so we did that.  Then I spent time figuring out how to upload songs on to her microphone she got for her birthday.  While I was doing that she was using the user manual as a song book and making up songs.
The video below is one thing I want to remember about Kamri's childhood. She is always singing made up songs to herself.

Here's to a more productive (and healthy!) tomorrow!
