Testimony

Hayes has been telling us for a month that he was going to fast on fast Sunday. So he fasted yesterday. I did give him a snack and a drink about halfway through because he is already skin and bones, I'm afraid he'd blow away without some food!
He also wanted to bear his testimony during sacrament meeting.  There was a lot of people getting up so they were sitting on the chairs on the stand waiting their turn. I tried to convince Hayes to wait until next month but once Hayes has his mind set, it's hard to change. I went up with him so he wasn't sitting on the stand for a long time alone.  When it was his turn he stood right up and bore his testimony.  He said, I know the temple is true, I know the church is true, and he said a few other things he knows are true and then closed in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.  He was so cute and very serious and reverent.  Since I was up there on the stand it forced me to go up too.
I bore my testimony about being grateful for the children Heavenly Father has blessed me with.  They have taught me the importance of a childlike faith.  Hayes & Kamri say prayers over the smallest things, for example a ladybug they caught had a broken wing so they prayed it would be fixed.  They remind me that I need to have a childlike, simple yet powerful, faith. That as Hayes says "Prayer always works." and I should pray always, even over simple or small things. Heavenly Father takes the time to listen to a child's prayer over bugs, he will certainly listen to our prayers, even if we feel our problems are not as large or important as others.
