Left the cord to connect my camera to my computer in my in-laws car so I can't upload pictures of graduation yet.
This morning I took the kids to breakfast at Hayes's school. "Muffins for Moms" and true to the title there was a muffin for mom and the kids ate doughnuts. Bracken had to be early to graduation so all the kids and I went to Hayes's school, all decked out in our Sunday best. I felt a bit silly being so overdressed but it was fun to see Hayes's school and he showed me the butterflies that just come out of the cocoons. Then it was off to Bracken's graduation.
Both sets of our parents came down for the ceremony. The ceremony was just over an hour which was awesome since we were planning on two! Bracken has accomplished so much in the past three years during school and I am so proud of him. It was nice to have a day to celebrate the accomplishment of Bracken making it through school. It was also, for me, a day of reflection about our life the past three years. We had hard struggles of moving to Las Vegas, changing life from a job to school, losing our baby Dane, being on bedrest with Lyla, etc but we've also had some amazing experiences that have brought us closer together as a family and strengthened our testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I wouldn't trade the last three years but I certainly do not want to live them again. I'm grateful for the experiences but excited for the future!
After the ceremony there was a reception with cupcakes. Kamri took a cupcake and said "We sure are lucky, having cupcakes before lunch!!" Couldn't agree with her more but not just because we got cupcakes before lunch.
