Opposites

"They" say opposites attract.  In mine & Bracken's case it holds true.

He likes Mexican, I like Chinese

He'd rather do the dishes, I'd rather clean the bathroom.

He would rather watch a movie, I'd rather read a book

He loves meat & potatoes, I love chicken & rice.

He loves salty snacks, I love anything sweet.

He's a nerd, I'm like the coolest person you ever knew. (okay not true but work with me here)

He likes to make up that I didn't know what a Katydid is, I really do and I had to teach him what it is (but that's a whole 'nother story)

He does the dishes, I clean the bathrooms, and we leave each other snacks alone for the most part. It works out great.

Most of the time our opposites just make us a great team but times like today I really feel it is in my favor...

When I clean I'm most worried about dirt, germs, etc. When he cleans it's all about getting rid of clutter. We have been on the go this past month while Bracken has been on winter break and our house shows it. Before Bracken goes back to school we are getting our house in order. He cleaned out the garage on Saturday, the Kitchen today...and all I have to do is answer a few questions on if I actually use that random kitchen tool or not.  When it's all done I'll deal with the dirt & grime.

I hate doing the decluttering but I LOVE how it feels having a home where every thing  has it's place and there is SPACE.   I'm grateful we are opposites in so many ways.  Even the simple ways that gets our house decluttered and clean.
