Big News today is Hayes is riding his bike without training wheels!! He tried once during the summer and did okay but I put the training wheels back on because I wasn't going to deal with trying to get him to do it when I had Kamri & Lyla with me. Bracken took him out today and he picked it up quick, it was just getting the confidence to keep going and not put his foot down. Bracken finally convinced him he could use "the force" and his bike would move wherever he was looking. Proved to be true when he was looking at a pole and ran right into it! After awhile he was zooming around the park.
Lyla was a little comedian today. During family home evening Bracken was holding her and reading the scriptures. She started giving him big sloppy kisses and then giggling when he would turn and give her one. Then he started reading again and she would s-l-o-w-l-y creep her hand up to his mouth and cover it or grab his nose. He would act surprised and tickle her and she would belly laugh. He'd start reading again and it would start all over with her grabbing his nose. She had all of us laughing hard.
This morning we were picking up and I asked Hayes & Kamri to grab the toy off the floor so Lyla wouldn't chew on it. They thought of a "better" solution.
The offending bullet I asked them to pick up, really? was dragging all the chairs easier than bending over and picking that little bullet up?
Stayed up to make a present for a friend and it is a total craft fail....I think the part that bothers me the most is that the part I failed at was with a hot glue gun. It shouldn't be that hard to use a glue gun but apparently my skills are lacking. The fabric looks all....globby.
Since I'm uploading pictures....I bought coordinating dresses for the girls during our girl's night. Lyla was not in the mood for pictures, she was starving! Maybe next Sunday.

Hayes: Mom, We aren't going to make a huge, huge, HUGE mess.
Kamri: Ya, we're just going to make cages!
Hayes: How many times do we have to tell you mom?!
During Family Home evening we were talking about Nephi from the Book of Mormon and how his brothers tied him up with rope. We were asking Kamri & Hayes, you wouldn't tie up your siblings would you? Hayes' answer "No, that would be so mean." Kamri's response: "Yeah and I don't have any rope!"

Congratulations to Hayes! Love the creative solution that the kids came up with, Lyla,'s ability to make the entire family laugh, and mostly Kamri's comment about not having a rope! (She is thinking it through!)
Love Lila's eyes
I love Bracken's use of logic with the force. Rob laughed at that one too.
